Deliverance Ministry and Schizophrenia

Things have certainly shifted in the past eight years since God launched me into spiritual warfare ministry. Back then ministry clients would rarely divulge that they heard internal voices. Getting someone to admit they heard voices in a ministry session was no easy task. Admitting you heard voices was associated with a mental disorder rather than something spiritual. That was then, and this is now. Every email I receive currently seems to open with the tagline, “I hear demons, and I need an exorcism. Please contact me as soon as you can.”

What changed in the past couple of years? Why is everyone suddenly divulging they hear demons? I believe the upswing in this a trend is a directly related to deliverance ministry labeling schizophrenia and other mental disorders of hearing internal voices as being purely demonic in nature. This blank check covering of these disorders by deliverance ministers is harmful to the prayer recipient. I have witnessed some souls get miraculously healed from schizophrenia in my own travels in deliverance ministry. Only because in these cases were demonic activity actually involved. I have worked on numerous cases as a Christian counselor where deliverance wasn't an option because the human mind was physically sick or the human soul was broken and needed healing. In these cases, 100% of the prayer recipients reported they heard demonic spirits internally. Only 1% actually had demonic spirits involved.

In fact, some of these cases, the internal voices spoke during sessions and identified themselves as evil spirits. I remember one incident where my colleague brought me in to one of her sessions to evaluate a client as being a demoniac. The problem was, my colleague had dead on discernment like mine, and she couldn't feel the presence of demon as it commonly manifested during her client’s sessions. I was asked to sit in and observe as this individual acted out like the Gerasene demoniac in our office session. They even bit their own tongue and drew blood! Why didn't I believe them? Because of the Holy Spirit and spiritual discernment. Both my colleague and I work on a daily basis with survivors of the occult. Her discernment aligned with mine, no demon. The irony was at the end of the session, the human part that acted like a demon wanted know why they didn't
fool us with the fake magic show. I work and live in the supernatural. What we witnessed, although convincing to the human eye, was not a true demonic manifestation. Neither of us counselors could feel the presence of anything demonic while all the craziness was going down right before our eyes. During intense sessions I can discern the manifestation of demonic spirits or the summoning of occult powers.Nothing was happening at this time. Nada!

I have had to sit through far too many sessions were I had to tell people what they're hearing is not demonic spirits, but angry, fractured pieces of themselves. Some fractured pieces are so angry they believe themselves to be demons. And can torment a soul just like a real demon! Through my own discernment and testing the spirit I am able to make an evaluation. The prayer recipient is usually distraught and then informs me of the long list of big deliverance ministries that cast this demon and that demon out of them. I am also encountering a lot more people who know ‘how to be delivered’. They act out coughing, shaking, and even false manifestations. People want to hold onto deliverance ministry as a magic bullet for healing. If they can just get the right demon cast out of them they will be fully healed. This is nonsense. They're not addressing the white elephant in the room - the schizophrenia. Again, I have seen healing in this area, but 95% of the time the healing came through the compassion of Jesus Christ and Him walking the fractured soul through its healing. This healing tends to be a VERY long walk, hand in hand, with Jesus Christ. I want to add too that the cases where we see healing involving people who not just desire to be healed but are willing to tackle whatever is thrown at them in life to get healed! That is a big game changer.

Also keep in mind, there also times, where a person who schizophrenic will require medication to stabilize their life enough so they can seek and pursue ministry and counseling help. Healing requires a community and a team. There are no short cuts when it comes to this. The ship must be turned directly into the storm. There are times when I wish I had Peter's anointing of having my shadow heal the sick. But for now, this is where we're at. Baby steps in healing.

A deliverance minister needs to have the maturity and understanding that when it comes to schizophrenia, you are dealing with a fractured soul trapped in a cycle of trauma. These souls obsess over every spoken spiritual word given to them. If you tell this soul there are demons present, it is very difficult for this soul to shake. My biggest headache in ministry is when the corporate deliverance ministries come through town, and tell people with a fractured soul they have a demon. Then they pull their tent stakes up the next day and leave town. Counselors are left with mopping up the mess. Never tell a person with Schizophrenia they have a demon, unless you intend to hold their hand for the next couple of months.

In ministry, I am encountering a lot of souls with very deep traumatic wounds. Many well minded people are involved in deliverance and healing ministries (such as sozo) where i believe problems we’re seeing are far above the common ministers pay grade. I know in healing ministry God is bigger than the problem. But what happens when healing ministry is the problem? An immature minister will fall back on knowledge and the soul (i.e. Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil) rather than resorting to long term intercession and possibly even fasting. If you’re in the miracle ministry you must have complete trust that Jesus Christ is doing something about the situation, and He doesn’t owe us an explanation of what He is doing! These are long term battles and we must have the faith that Jesus is bringing healing.

As ministers we must have the maturity to discern and provide spiritual direction in cases where people claim they hear demonic voices. As spiritual beings we have, normally, two internal voices, our own, and that of the indwelling God. As spiritual beings, we can hear from three internal sources, our own heart and soul, God, and from other spirits. It's the latter, we must be very careful in discerning. Other spirits include demonic spirits. Don't just take the individuals word for it that what they're going through is demonic. Because many times it isn't. Injured minds, either physically, or emotionally, can easily run with putting on the whole demon show. This is where the inexperienced, untrained minister gets sucked in and causes more damage than had there been demons there to begin with. This minister isn't using discernment and they are not hearing from God (again tapping into the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil).

When you get a case like this, bring them into a counseling session and discern what is going on. You may not get an answer from God right away. But that's okay too. It's the sign of a mature minister. As for me, I rarely do deliverance ministry on an individual whom I believe to be schizophrenic, unless I can I discern a demon is present and the soul requires liberation prayer ministry. But this should be the rule of thumb for any deliverance ministry practice. Hear from God what is going on!!!!

Removing Cursed Objects and Haunted Possessions

Cursed objects and haunted possessions are in the media quite a bit lately. For the 2017 Halloween episode of Ghost Adventures, Zak Bagans and the GA crew took us on a spiritually twisted tour of Zak's haunted objects museum in Las Vegas. Followers of the paranormal are dangerously obsessed with haunted and possessed objects. These objects are collected under the blatant lie to be preserved and researched. Spiritually infested objects need to be rendered powerless and destroyed - not preserved!

Objects came become defiled or cursed in various ways. The most common method is through occult rituals. Dolls are commonly cursed as they are used as ritual fetishes in voodoo and the occult. Other objects, such as tribal masks, cultural jewelry, paintings, sculptures. or objects intended for bringing curses are activated through occult rituals. Objects can also become infested just by being in an environment with demonic activity. Mirrors are another common item that can become cursed through ritual activities, occult dabbling, and practices. Note, even illegal drugs are cursed objects  (substances) now. But that's another conversation...

If you are a Christian minister that is called into one of these situations, please use extreme discretion. Always be on guard with your spiritual discernment and allow the Holy Spirit to instruct you on what is present in your environment. Tainted objects usually radiate oppression at the locations they are in. You may walk into an environment and feel a heaviness immediately without seeing the item. You may have experienced weird car problems on the way over. These are not signs of tainted objects, but the some of the whole of the experience, are indicative of something may be present and pushing back on you.

When you receive an email or a call about on object always give yourself ample time to pray and consult God. If you are in this ministry you are not a paranormal investigator, nor do you participate in any way with the paranormal field, but a follower of Jesus, who spends most of your time helping others spiritually in their inner prayer life and growth. You must have the capacity to connect with Jesus and know His voice, the name above all names, the one true God. I am not talking about visions and so forth. You must hear the peaceful inner voice of the indwelling Jesus and the convictions of the Holy Spirit. Spiritual maturity is critical because this is where the tactical information is going to come from in shutting down occult powers and object fetishes. I highly recommend meeting somewhere, like at church, or someone's home, to spiritually pray up and worship before you go. Also, have an off-site intercessor team that is praying for you while you are in infested places. Keep in mind, if you are doing this level of ministry, that this is not your first rodeo. The Holy Spirit has already raised you up, and you have already defeated the lion and the bear.

If you are on site where the object is, you must discern the power of the demonic presence. Is the presence a low-level demon that comes under the jurisdiction of your spiritual authority? Or are you dealing with the occult, and high-level demons and satanic angels which requires the petitioning of Jesus for His help? These questions are crucial to being the spiritual first responders. Let the Holy Spirit and Jesus reveal to you everything and never consult angels, which is a dangerous and growing charismatic practice. False angels of light always answer that call. Proceed through the home, with a team, never go alone, using listening prayer if you're new to this. Listening prayer is asking Jesus to bring revelation on what is going in on.

Jesus, could you bring revelation on what this object is?

If you feel anything demonic, bind it and forbid it from calling on higher spiritual powers. Bind the occult and witchcraft. Ask the Holy Spirit to go before you. If you are spiritually mature in your own inner prayer life, the spirits will look at you like Philistines seeing the ark of the covenant coming their way. You must be spiritually mature and be walking in your authority. That is, you know that Jesus is going to do something to bring healing to the situation. You may not know what Jesus is going to do, you just know that you showed up and He is too. Never put Jesus in a box, let Him fight these battles. Pray to fall in step with what He is doing rather than pray and tell Him how to fight. He pretty much already has that one covered.

Walking in your authority also means not stepping out of your covering. This means you don't start a bar fight in the second heaven like most deliverance ministries wrongly teach and practice. The heavens belong to Jesus and Jesus alone. We stay out! If you are dealing with the occult, you're dealing with rituals and high order spirits, whether high level demonic or satanic angels. Petition Jesus in this warfare. Listen to what He tells you.

If you are dealing with an object with spiritual attachments to an individual, have them renounce their attachments and free will bonds to the item. If the item was an occult fetish, a conjuring device such as an ouji board, cameras, ovulus, spirit boxes, flash lights, digital voice recorders, crystal balls, wands, and mirrors, to name a few, the user must renounce their use of the objects and renounce satan. Once it is discerned the connection with the individual is broken, the spiritual attachments to the object must be evicted through prayer. Bind the spirits and command them to go where the Holy Spirit instructs them. Always let the Holy Spirit tell you if the site is cleansed. Don't rely on your senses. Demons are great decievers.  It may take one session or several sessions. However, log it takes to expel the occult activity. Always operate in humility and to the protocols of Jude 8-10. There is a common charismatic practice to laugh at satan. This is ill-advised and is a form of reviling angelic beings. We are told in the Bible that we are lesser than angels.

Once we have the certainty that the spirits have been expelled from the object, the item must be destroyed. Most fetishes you need to burn in the church parking lot drum. Mirrors and crystal objects need to be shattered once the spiritual attachments have been removed. Care must be given to get to this stage and ensure the object has been cleansed. There may be times where an object will require a Roman Catholic exorcist to handle the object's destruction.

When you leave the site, pray and have the Holy Spirit cleanse you of all dark assignments and attachments. Spiritually clean yourselves off from the demonic muck.

I can easily write a lot more on the subject. But that's it in a nutshell.

The Church's Call to Readiness on Dealing with the Paranormal and the Occult

The media knows that the paranormal is a cash cow. Every channel you turn to now has some paranormal show. The shows are cheap to produce and guarantee viewer numbers. Ghost Hunters wasn't the first of these shows, but it certainly put the paranormal television shows on the map back in 2004. When the Ghost Hunters first aired, the internet was ablaze with amateurs trying to duplicate their efforts. Everyone on the internet was suddenly an expert in hauntings. Around the time Ryan Buell and Paranormal State debuted in 2007, paranormal television took a darker tone. The show was misleading in the fact that it led viewers to believe Ryan and Chip Coffee, the show resident psychic, were Roman Catholics. But the actions of what these people were doing on the show didn't add up. And they had a resident pagan on the team as an occult expert. The team would perform these weird rituals that sounded mildly Christian, but weren't, right before they would conduct a seance. It was in Paranormal State episodes where viewers were given front row seats to rituals on their family room television sets.

In 2008, Zak Bagans and the Ghost Adventure crew showed up on the Travel Channel. America watched the paranormal ghost hunting antics of Zak Bagans, Nick Groff, and Aaron Goodwin. Zak soon became the P.T. Barnum of the occult.  Nothing was sacred, and everything was presented haphazardly with no regard to the dangers of the occult. Zak and GA made for good paranormal show business. This show, and the Travel Channel's other paranormal show, The Dead Files, became the staples in leading people into the occult. I believe these two shows are what spiked the interest and popularity of modern voodoo. The rituals performed on Ghost Adventures are so dark, the episodes are absolutely unwatchable. This situation is now a critical issue in the spiritual health of America. These occult beliefs on the afterlife are now in the pews of American churches.

How should the church handle the paranormal? This is a multi-faceted question. How does your church handle spiritual warfare and the paranormal? The New Age has slipped into every church. Does your church have an understanding of what New Age beliefs have entered the church through parishioners or the pulpit? Pastors, are you aware of the duplicitous nature of your parishioners? Are you aware of those who go ghost hunting on Friday night and show up for duty on Sunday for your prayer ministry team? Are they doing Yoga or Reiki healing? These subtle practices are all New Age deception. Are they seeking psychics to contact the dead? Dabbling in paganism? This is stuff the church needs to get a handle on and correct if it is going to step in and deal with the occult. The church needs to equip her saints on what is spiritually dangerous. Many Americans in churches now believe there is more than one path to eternal life. The New Age and the occult are already in the pews.

Another major problem is that the occult offers the deception of revealing the truth to life after death. Do the members of your church body have a solid foundation in what lies ahead of them when their life ends here? What is their certainty of spending eternity with Jesus Christ?

What happens when you the pastor encounters the occult in your church? Do you understand the difference between low-level demonic deliverance and exorcism? Many Ph.D. seminaries taught pastors I have worked with thought that deliverance and exorcism are one in the same. They are not. Some peculiar theology surfaces in Mark 9:14-29, where a low-level demonic deliverance by the Apostles fails. When it comes to encounters with the occult, many pastors fall into this category of failure because they don't know the difference in warfare. Nor do they know the protocols necessary for different forms of warfare. The Western church has ignorantly built a false doctrine around deliverance practices that are based on being ministry success oriented rather than Biblical and scriptural. Let that one marinate in. Your whole library of spiritual warfare books could, in fact, be all useless.

Now one of my biggest peeves about paranormal shows is that they always feature a situation where the church failed. The church didn't fail, the pastor and the church were ill-equipped for the battle at hand. God created the spirit realm; He can put an end to ALL nasty warfare. NO BATTLE IS TOO BIG FOR JESUS!!!

A church stepping into battle simply can't do it blindly and follow the misleading books on the market. When you enter a house with occult activity, did you know you can't bind satan? Every deliverance minister I know thinks they can. Picking a fight with a satanic angel is ill-advised, there are huge, horrible repercussions of the ministers, and possibly ever the congregation.God never instructed us to battle satanic angels. The heavens belong to Jesus.

So what does a church do when it engages the occult to help someone? Again, there are protocols; they are presented in Mark 9:29 and Jude 8-10. Do you understand your prayer posture in warfare? When do you take authority and when do you petition Jesus?

The church needs to stand in her authority and truly understand the dynamics of spiritual warfare. Paranormal shows would be off the air if the church responded to people in spiritual distress. If the church can't handle the situation, it needs to step into the already established networks of Christian spiritual warfare ministers that can handle the occult and demonic activity.

If you are dealing with an occult situation, or demonic activity I strongly recommend you get equipped quickly and connect with ministers that are already involved in these battles. The biggest problem I have seen is that churches want to re-invent the wheel when it comes to spiritual warfare equipping. I don't know why this is, but its a common thread when our ministry reaches out to help churches.

Where does one start in equipping? I have written two books on these subject matters. A good starting point is A Field Guide to Spiritual Warfare. This is the beginning book that has something for everyone, I have been given excellent feedback that even seasoned deliverance ministers use this book consistently. Second, I have written a book for pastors, and counselors, who are dealing with these darker battles, this book is, A Field Guide to Advanced Spiritual Warfare. These books are well worth the investment in your ministry.

If you have any questions on how to deal with occult battles, please drop me a comment, and I will answer the question in blog posts.

If you have questions on curse breaking, or curse breaking prayers, I cover these in my book, A Field Guide to Spiritual Warfare.

If you have questions on dealing with manifestations, I cover these in my book, A Field Guide to Advanced Spiritual Warfare.

Commenting on the GA Possession in Ogden Episode

Ghost Adventures is my constant go to now presenting commentary on how the paranormal deals with cases of possession. These paranormal shows tend to raise more questions than answers. And I am not talking about the paranormal they present in the show, I am referring to the 'what the heck are they doing?', moments, in these shows. Season 15, episode 2, of the show is titled The Ogden Possession. Where  Zak and the Scooby gang go to a residence near Ogden, Utah to assist the Lyons, family (David, wife Jen, daughter Jessie, younger daughter Gwen, 15 years old, and the young son Junior).

In the opening scenes, the wife Jen, proceeds to describe, what sounds like to me, as a minister that deals with this stuff, a familiar spirit on the verge of demonic possession. The familiar spirit (a demon) will in the early stages of possession befriend the targeted soul. The spirit will only appear to the individual so only they can see them. The spirit will constantly interact with the target soul to drive them to insanity. As the familiar spirit is doing this they are oppressing the soul and at the same time trying to isolate the soul, so the familiar spirit is their only friend. The demon will then try to form this weird bond with the soul where it wants to be in a relationship, or even marriage with the soul. The marriage is a stage of demonic possession, where the familiar spirit is only the low-level door man to a crew of numerous bigger demons. The familiar spirit is actually the grunt spirit in this situation that is on a chain to the bigger ones not in the picture. In this episode, the Scooby gang kept thinking the familiar spirit was hiding in David's bedroom closet. When in actuality, it was the bigger demons residing in there waiting for demonic possession. Weird, yes? But that's how it goes down.
Now during the first interview between David and Zak, we see Zak get this weird sensation in his head. Zak asks David about the familiar spirit. Demons don't like to be found out. What Zak is experiencing is what I call an occult headache. These are nasty, sharp, intense pains, and can inhibit movement in your neck. They're extremely intense and sudden. Zak describes it as a 'really bad pressure' in his head. But watching him, you can see he has a hard time turning his neck when this occurs. When you're in it this deep, you should be experienced in what to do with occult spiritual attacks. This is something you don't learn from seminary or books. I don't think there is any Christian book out there that describes attacks at this level. During this time of the interview, David's teenage son, Junior, gets hit hard with demonic oppression bringing a halt to the interview. These scenarios are the demonic spirits running interference to prevent from being revealed. They want to stay hidden.

A key thing about this interview from the interview David thinks his situation is hopeless. The state of hopelessness is a sign, in cases like this, of severe demonic oppression. During the interview, the spirit is appearing to David only and telling him to walk away. The spirit appears to David as a teenage girl and builds the false reality that she is a wayward deceased spirit looking for help. The spirit also consistently tells David to kill himself. Suicide is the message demons tend to banter non-stop during stages of possession.

We also find out in the show, the young 15-year old daughter Gwen, has a demonic spirit stand over her bed at night and gives her suicidal thoughts. The older daughter Jessie spent time in a hospital for the demonic chatter of suicidal thoughts that were overwhelming her in her bedroom. Jessie was able to see the demonic spirit in its true form - and not as a teenage girl.

It is from this whole interview session with the Lyons that Zak and the Scooby gang decide they're in over their head. Zak is moved and decides to bring in a team to handle the demonic activity. Good and bad. These paranormal teams never go to real teams for help. Zak goes to the paranormal Order of Exorcists. Note that these are not exorcists, The Order of Exorcists is a sham and is nothing to do with the Catholic church. In fact, much of the members involved in this are doing things that are an abomination to God. But the Order always seems to be the "go to" organization for Zak. Bishop Ryan is from the Holy Nicholean Catholic Church (which describes itself as a Catholic, but not Catholic church on its web site). Yes, another what the heck moment. With these Catholic church off shoots and the Order of Exorcists, everyone seems to be a bishop or archbishop - of their own church.

With this all set up, I want to jump into the commentary on the exorcism Fr. Ryan performed. Because there is a lot of weird stuff going on in this exorcism that doesn't reflect a minister who has done this before. The first tale-tail sign is when they give David the blessed drinking water. The blessed water forces the demons to reveal themselves through David. Nobody prays to bind the demons as they are manifesting. Seriously???

A demon is manifesting, and they don't take authority over it. Then Zak and Fr. Bryan let David get up and walk off unsupervised! Nobody is monitoring his behavior as he walks off alone. During a manifestation, a demon could be instructing David to kill himself. While the battle starts for the soul, Zak has the bright idea to do an investigation. Again, SERIOUSLY? A soul is being afflicted, and he decides to talk to the demons in the closet with his spirit box. At this pivotal point, the focus needs to be on David. When the exorcism resumes, they decide to do it with the lights out with night vision cameras. There are so many what the heck moments going on I want you to see a commentary on how this should have gone down.

When David returns, Zak has the scene set with night vision cams for the exorcism. Really???? Is this an exorcism or a seance? Why did Fr. Bryan allow Zak to dictate the conditions of the exorcism? Who is the spiritual authority here? The exorcism should have been scheduled during the day when people are well rested and not strained by the late hour. Also, because the entire family is afflicted by these demons, they should have been involved in the prayers of liberation. Furthermore, I wouldn't have allowed the demons to have home court advantage, and I would have moved the session to a "Real" Christian church. I need to say that because, Zak's radar is heavily bent to the new age, which is why we see all this goofy stuff on Ghost Adventures. In the church, I would have sat them in the pews with some prayer team members, and then proceed to read out loud curse breaking prayers for the liberation of the soul. When the demons manifest, the prayer team would take authority over them and bind them. Since these are occult spirits in this scenario, care should be made if there needs to be a distinction between the spirits manifesting as low-level demons or occult demons. There is spiritual protocol to follow for this. What I would expect to see, is that as mom and dad (David) got set free, the spiritual attachments would come off the kids as well. Or some work may need to be done individually with family members as to where they made their free-will bonds with the demonic in the house. We didn't see any forms of renunciation of the demonic spirits. The prayer session requires a team that knows spiritual authority and has an understanding of how to deal with a skirmish involving the occult. In the episode, we never saw Fr. Bryan take authority over the demonic. He just blessed and buried crosses on the property. Why couldn't he simply send the sister and Zac to bury the crosses and bless the home? Kill two demonic situations with one stone. This would have made more sense!

Furthermore, while Fr. Bryan and Zak were burying crosses in the yard, they left David unattended in the house. Again, I hate to use this word, over and over, but, SERIOUSLY??? So while the bishop is blessing the house, David stops breathing. GO FIGURE!!!!!! The demons are now in a clash with the prayer team and David's afflicted soul. The Bishop doesn't bind the demon that is keeping David from breathing! Bind the demon and order it in the name of Jesus Christ to release the respiratory system. David's eyes are also clenched closed, which is a sign of a demonic manifestation. I would have ordered David to open his eyes and then I would have bound the demon present and then expelled it. The sister commented later in the show, did you see the eyes? Yes! I saw the eyes very early on, and nobody did anything about it! When the eyes are clenched closed, or you see what appears to REM activity underneath the eyelids. A demon manifested and it doesn't want to be seen.

David then slaps himself, and the bishop says out loud that he may need to restrain him. Sorry, but again, SERIOUSLY??? Bind the demons using the hands and forbid them using any of David's body! In the midst of all this, the bishop feels its necessary to continue burying crosses on the property. David is manifesting and is in the clash with the demon. Are you getting the picture of this nonsense? These aren't trained or equipped exorcists!!!! I wish there were a Captain Picard face palm meme specially made for this episode!

I found it interesting how Aaron said the exorcism was difficult to watch. Yes, they are, which is why it takes a special team that can handle what is going on. Both before, during, and long after the exorcism. The demons weren't expelled from David. At this level of possession, David and his family, need to seek a Roman Catholic exorcist clergy, and counseling, for the long walk of healing out of this. This case was far out of jurisdiction for the Scooby gang the Order of Exorcists moose lodge.

If you have questions on curse breaking, or curse breaking prayers, I cover these in my book, A Field Guide to Spiritual Warfare.

If you have questions on dealing with manifestations, I cover these in my book, A Field Guide to Advanced Spiritual Warfare.

A Field Guide to Advanced Spiritual Warfare - RELEASED!!!!

It's been over seven years since I completed the first book, A Field Guide to Spiritual Warfare. I never really knew how I would follow up with another manuscript for that project. Nor did I know then the path God would set me on in spiritual warfare ministry. Last summer, as I was working on another book for the Field Guide Training Series, on learning to pray, then suddenly, God had started me writing a new book on the topic of spiritual warfare. Ironically, He had me pull out old training material from a class M16 Ministries taught in 2008, called Frontline to Spiritual Warfare.

This class was the basis for A Field Guide to Spiritual Warfare, published in 2010. The Holy Spirit was tugging at me strongly, in the middle of another writing project to revisit this material.  I didn't understand why there was this strong desire; the first book covered it. I loaded up the course in Microsoft word and started looking at it. I took the course table of contents, and the Holy Spirit urged me to construct an outline from the original TOC.

Over a period of a few nights, the original TOC dissolved into an entirely new outline. The ministry had significantly evolved from the early years. And what began to emerge in the Microsoft Word editor was not A Field Guide to Spiritual Warfare 2.0. A new training guide emerged on how M16 Ministries was no longer working deliverance cases but instead was involved in discerning cases of damaged souls, that need counseling, fractured souls with multiple personalities, and horrible childhood trauma associated with them, or whether it was diabolic oppression or even possession.

M16 Ministries was now involved in long term cases with the occult, and at the same time discerning botched deliverance ministry survivors and poorly equipped ministers. The ministry was now primarily  dealing with childhood survivors of secret society rituals, such as the Freemasons and the Illuminati.

The new manuscript lined up to be nothing like its predecessor, and in fact, carries a different tone in writing.  If you are a pastor or a counselor involved in dark spiritual warfare cases, I strongly encourage you to pick up the new M16 Ministries: A Field Guide Training Series book, A Field Guide to Advanced Spiritual Warfare. Paranormal Exorcist and Seal of Solomon

It seems like paranormal television shows never cease to deliver this season. Again, watching the Scooby gang on Ghosts of Shepherdstown, season 2, episode 8, titled "What an Excellent Day for an Exorcism,"  the viewing audience was treated to another paranormal demonic expulsion. The minister Nick Groff and the gang brought in was introduced as an ordained Catholic minister and exorcist. Again, listen carefully to scripting in these paranormal shows, there are always red flags. Here I want you to pay attention to the guest ordained Catholic minister and exorcist. An ordained minister is a layman minister and not clergy. Catholics don't allow laymen to be an exorcist. The office of exorcism is for clergy only and the assignment is handed down by a Cardinal or someone high up. A Catholic layman can be a deliverance minister but not an exorcist!

The plot thickens as the episode unfolds, where Nick brought in this "exorcist" to expel a demon (by the way this is never singular, demons travel with buddies) from the Ye Old Myst Tea House in Shepherdstown. The exorcist enters with the black clergy looking outfit, no collar (not clergy) and is wearing a cross around his neck. So far, okay. No big deal. The minister is led into the tea shop which is a war zone with debris scattered all over by the floor. I am curious what this exorcist is going to do since he was is forbidden to use the Rite of Exorcism (he wasn't approved by the Catholic church). I was pontificating that perhaps the audience was going to see a deliverance ministry session since by Catholic faith he couldn't use the Rite. I am also curious as to why the show didn't reach out to the Catholic diocese for a real exorcist in the first place! Credibility for this show is not a high point with
 me.

The exorcist prepares for battle by drawing in chalk on the floor, the star of David and enclosing it in a circle.

Record scratch!

Wait a minute. What? This resembled a ritual pentagram drawn in chalk, but it was the star of David.  This symbol is the seal of Solomon, a secret society occult symbol.  Its called a hexagram and is used in witchcraft and Freemason rituals. Wasn't this guy supposed to be a Catholic minister?? Baffled? Why would a Catholic minister use the occult to protect him from demons? Then this minister proceeds with a ritual in Hebrew that calls Yahweh and Y'shua (Jesus). No Catholic liturgies or anything. No I am intrigued as to what the heck I am watching. It's not Christian that's for sure!

The minister then rubber stamps the seal of Solomon on the Scooby gang. Which now includes the show psychic. Any Christian spiritual warfare minister worth their grain of salt (no pun intended) would ever bring a psychic to demon fight. Another red flag! This is the occult folks!!!

Then there is the dramatic moment in the show, with the minister shouting, "I command you in the name of Yahweh God, to bring yourself into the seal of Solomon." Again? What?? This isn't Old or New Testament spiritual warfare. This is New Age Jewish mysticism. A true Christian minister would have bound the spirits in the name of Jesus Christ (if these were low-level demons). In the case of what the show portrayed, they needed a real exorcist. Demons are expelled from a different prayer posture. What ensues next is the Scooby gang gets thrown a good ol fashion Sons Scheva beat down. The demon doesn't even go full force, it freaks them out with false fevers, nausea, and onslaught of the single tiny spider.

During this spiritual battle the "exorcist" never relied on his faith to expel the demon. He was stirctly adhering to occult formulas. Which any Christian deliverance minister knows is in effective against demons. Again, refer to the book of Acts and the Sons of Scheva who were thrown a beating by demons they were trying to expel. What do demons fear? Demons fear a person of faith because they have the spiritual depth and relationship with the reality of Jesus Christ to expel dark spirits. A powerful minister is a person whose soul is in a transforming union with Jesus Christ. A strong soul in Christ is kryptonite to demons and they won't follow these kinds of souls home!

Now back to wackiness at the tea shop. The minister has the Scooby gang renounce all ceremonies of satan. What did this guy just perfom? The seal of Solomon is the occult! Yes, this presentation of spiritual warfare was an atrocity. I am curious where this individual is ordained and which Catholic parish allows this minister to operate in this manner. It's not Christian, it's New Age. I am guessing he must be a universalist minister. But then again, what should I expect from a paranormal show.

Wasn't Shepherdstown cleansed by the psychic minister previously? If I remember correctly from season one, didn't the show psychic break the curse over Shepherdstown. Oh, yah. We're not supposed to be paying attention. The show concluded with everyone happy and that the site was cleansed. This is exactly the scene from the Poltergeist movie, "This house is clean!'. It's not, no one in the cleansing party was there with the faith to expel these demons. They demons went out for re-enforcements! I guess that's what we'll see in season 3.

Sidebar, I had to Google this exorcist to find out what exactly his background was in ministry. He has ties to the Old Catholic Church. Which is not Catholic, but in short an abomination to the Catholic Church. The paranormal field is so twisted in spirituality it always gravitates to the Old Catholic Church for help. From the home web page this exorcist also has ties to the Dominion Ministry, which is pagan spiritual warfare.

In closing, if you're Christian and thinking you're an exorcist or a deliverance minister for the paranormal, you need to go pray and re-think your position in the greater plan of things. People viewing these shows and replicating these occult practices will get hurt. I can guarantee your lives will be destroyed. This is something you don't mess with at all! That's why the Catholics don't let layman be exorcists. A spiritual attachment is something you never want on you or your home. Those of us who have been brought into a spiritual fight by God DON'T live in oppression like these ghost hunters do. Go look on youtube and see for yourself the spirits that torment all these paranormal celebrities. These things are real and they bite back.

Well, that's enough for now. Hope this was beneficial.
Blessings

The Spirituality of Paranormal Show Psychics

I've been watching Nick Groff's television show on Destination America, called the Ghosts of Shepherdstown. These ghost hunting shows are interesting because of the spirituality embedded in these shows. Have you ever watched these shows and see someone spout something Christian, but their lifestyle and spiritual choices aren't that of a follower of Jesus Christ? If you know what you're watching these shows are fascinating labs into examining the spiritist belief systems that drive these paranormal investigators. Zac Bagans of Ghost Adventures fame has mentioned many times on his show that he believes in a god. But which god? The words Jesus Christ never seem to roll off from his lips. The Tennessee Wraith Chasers hit the reality-paranormal scene as Christian ghost hunters, again, an oxymoron, if you understood the difference between Christianity and spiritism. In their new show, they seemed to have dropped the opening prayer at the start of the show. So what is going on here? Why is this an oxymoron?

Let's take a look at the belief system of a paranormal show psychic. What do they believe? I want to focus on the psychics who have mentioned some degree of faith in God on these shows. But the actions of dealing with spirits don't line up with what they espouse to believe in. You can learn a lot of by listening to these people and then trying to figure out what their spiritual beliefs are.

First of all, can a Christian be psychic? What does the Word of God say about this?

31 ‘Do not turn to mediums or spiritists; do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God.
-Leviticus 19:31

God tells us not to seek out a psychic or to communicate with the dead. This is pretty cut and dry. We're not to communicate with the dead nor be a psychic (and ghost hunting for that matter).

10 There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, 11 or one who casts a spell, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. 12 For whoever does these things is detestable to the Lord; and because of these detestable things the Lord your God will drive them out before you. 13 You shall be blameless before the Lord your God. 14 For those nations, which you shall dispossess, listen to those who practice witchcraft and to diviners, but as for you, the Lord your God has not allowed you to do so.
-Deuteronomy 18:10-14

The Mosaic Law states that the spiritist and the medium are detestable to the Lord. This is pretty simple and straight forward. God identifies spiritism as witchcraft. We are not to speak to the dead or participate in any form of spiritism. King Saul's transgression against the Lord was seeking a medium to contact Samuel, who was dead in Hades.

13 So Saul died for his trespass which he committed against the Lord, because of the word of the Lord which he did not keep; and also because he asked counsel of a medium, making inquiry of it,
-1 Chronicle 10:13

The paranormal show psychics I have researched who use the name of the triune God have an interesting and alternative Gospel theology. According to their beliefs, the psychic abilities are covered under the New Testament as gifts of spiritual discernment,

7 But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. 8 For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, 10 and to another the effecting of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills.
-1 Corinthians 12:7-11

Paul's epistle to the Corinthians on gifts of the Holy Spirit has nothing to do with psychic abilities. The deception comes in to play at verse 11, with discernment of spirits. This has nothing to do with seeing or talking to dead people. Why would the Holy Spirit empower you with a gift that is an abomination and goes against His moral values? It's because God didn't give the psychic the gift to see the dead. It was a spiritual gift that the psychic allowed to be hi-jacked through their spiritual belief system. In the book of Acts, Paul casts out a pythonic demon out of a psychic fortune teller. I want you to connect the dots that psychic abilities are not covered or condoned under the Christ-centric belief system of the Holy Bible. Where do these beliefs come from? It's called universalism. A spiritual belief system where Buddha, Jesus, spiritism, mother earth, voodoo, shamanism, you name it, are all the same. Equal playing field. This is not Christianity, but this is the foundation of the system of beliefs with popular reality show paranormal investigators.

Keep in mind, that the Christian faith revolves around the first commandment.

37 And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the great and foremost commandment.
-Matthew 22:37-38

Remember, the Christian God, our one True God, is a jealous God.

14 —for you shall not worship any other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God
-Exodus 34:14

These are not the signs of soul that is an transforming union with God.

Therefore, universalism and Christianity mix like oil and water. A psychic can't be calling on powers of other gods (lower case elohim - demons) if they call on the Ancient of Times, I AM, the God Almighty, Jesus Christ Lord of lords, King of kings. It just doesn't align! Something to consider when watching these shows. Consider the big question, who or what is responding when the occult calls out to God?

Stay tuned for the release date of this new book!!!

Well, that's enough for now. Hope this was beneficial.

The Paranormal and the False Trinity

Paranormal reality shows are the biggest money makers for network television. They're cheap to produce, and fans flock to them by the droves. They're guaranteed income for networks that air these shows. As spiritual warfare minister, I watch these shows to see what society accepts as spiritual warfare versus what every Christian should know.

Some of the shows out this summer include The Ghosts of Shepherdstown, with Nick Groff, of Ghost Adventures fame, and the new comer paranormal show, The Lowe Files, which is a small, ineffective rip off of Destination Truth, featuring Rob Lowe, and his two grown sons.

I arm chair quarterback these shows to see what is all the rage in paranormal investigations. One of the new trends is for the psychics on these shows to portray biblical knowledge of spiritual warfare in one scene, and then immediately in the next scene, call on the occult to engage the demonic. In both, The Ghosts of Shepherdstown, and The Lowe Files, psychics were on hand who called upon the Holy Trinity for protection. Yes, a psychic, in Ghosts of Shepherdstown, and a shaman, in The Lowe Files, called on the Holy Trinity to protect them. What is going on here? Why is the Holy Trinity called to push back on the demonic presence, but not used to expel the demons at the site?

Examples from recent shows:
The Ghosts of Shepherdstown - S02E03 Whatever You Do, Don't Fall Asleep
Psychic - "If you're not of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, you're not welcome here.

The psychic in this show that calls on the Holy Trinity, doesn't call on the true God for banishing but resorts to using black salt.

The Lowe Files - S01E01 - Preston Castle
This is a scene where the shaman and the Lowe's go outside for healing the land. The shaman starts doing a native American ritual and the spirit box requests Bible. The shaman laughs, like it's an absurd request, and starts a Christian (new age) healing of the land.

Shaman - Bible? (chuckles)  wants a Christian healing...

Rob Lowe - Wants a Christian healing...

Shaman - the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, ... come here today to pray for these souls. Want them to be cleaned, cleansed, redeemed, forgiven, healed, and allowed to move on. The next world, as free souls. Come with your light in the name of Jesus, in the name of the angels, rest in peace. Once and for all. Amen.

Christians who don't understand the occult would be deceived into believing the psychics on these shows are calling on the true resurrected Jesus. This is not what is happening here. This is New Age spiritism that is being displayed on these shows that are slowly moving into darker waters of the occult.

When a psychic calls on the name of Jesus in these shows it is demonstrating the deception that the Triune God is ok with contacting the dead. The truth of the matter is, God is not ok with this. We know from scripture, 1 Chronicles 10:13, that Saul's transgression against God was summoning the spirit of Samuel from the realm of paradise, through a psychic medium.

13 Saul died because he was unfaithful to the Lord; he did not keep the word of the Lord and even consulted a medium for guidance,

These paranormal show psychics claim that God and the Holy Spirit is their method of discernment. God doesn't want His people contacting the dead, He doesn't give out this gift. Psychics erroneously quote 1st Corinthians. The gift of discernment has nothing to do with talking to the dead. Talking to the dead is declared in the Holy Scripture as being occult practices, in Deuteronomy 18:9-13.

9 When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. 10 Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, 11 or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. 12 Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord; because of these same detestable practices the Lord your God will drive out those nations before you. 13 You must be blameless before the Lord your God.

A psychic does have a gift of discernment, the Holy Spirit was poured out on all of us. What is going on with the psychic is that their spiritual gifts have been hijacked by the demonic. They've been spiritually hacked so to speak. And with this they listen to the lies of the demons about this being okay with God.

When we see a psychic in Scripture, in Acts 16:16, she was a fortune teller, whose powers were identified by the Apostle Paul as being a Python spirit. He cast the demon out of her. I want to paint a picture here that God does not accept his kids to be messing with the occult. Where these psychics are dabbling in Christianity is in Universalist churches where the concept, of paganism, Christianity, and all religions exist as the same God. This is a lie and a deception. Universalism is a New Age church where the false Trinity exists. It also exists in Satanic rituals. Satan has his own second heaven, he has his false (anti-) Chirst, he is the false father, and there is a false Holy Spirit. I learned first hand in my ministry with helping survivors of the occult, the levels of deception that are involved in convincing people that God doesn't exist.

The next time you see a psychic on a paranormal show calling out to the Holy Trinity, be aware that this is not the Christian Trinity. This is a false trinity. And when the psychic drives out a demon in these shows, it is replaced by a higher food chain demon. Remember, Jesus told us about a house divided. Satan doesn't cast out Satan; he leaves a higher spirit behind. Sure the place was cleansed of the first demon(s), but now there is a bigger problem.

As a word to the wise, no Christian should be involved in the paranormal or ghost hunting. If you're seeking proof of the after life, you need to work on your soul's sanctification. As you go deeper with Jesus, you will not need to seek out these worldly things. God will provide your heart with the certitude of his actuality. Seek His presence through prayer and avoid this ghost hunting garbage.

By the way, the following are methods of divination and should be avoided completely by Christians:

  • using flash lights to turn on and off to communicate with ghosts.
  • use of psychics to investigate hauntings
  • using a spirit box or a geo box
  • using smart phone apps or digital recorders for evps
  • using a spirit board or tarrot cards of any kind, especially  angelology tarrot cards
  • using mel meters
  • using special cameras with optics or xbox 3d sensors

A True Case Study of Ritual Abuse

Back in mid-December, my father sent me a link to an article in the Sacramento Bee ‘Spiritual warfare,’ ‘demonic attacks.’ The role religion played in home for sex-trafficking victims . The article referenced the Courage Home in Sacramento that is a safe house for teens from sex-trafficking. The Courage home voluntarily shut down in August 2016, from citations and violations that stemmed from a what a appears to be taking in a Satanic Ritual Abuse (SRA) survivor.

This article paints a picture of a horrible condition that many in the ministry of working with severe trauma survivors have known about and the mainstream church refuses to accept.  This article provides a good outline that I can reference and draw points from on how to handle these difficult cases.  Please note that ritual abuse survivors commonly show up at the doorstep of safe homes.  When I receive a call for assistance, it is usually from a Christian safe home requesting an exorcist. By the time I am called, a major disturbance has already been taking place for the past several days. The person of the home seeking help has already been passed around like a hot potato from church to church. Churches don't touch exorcisms. Which is a good thing, because a real exorcist must discern whether the situation is diabolic, mental health, or a fractured soul (SRA). Let's pick up with the story from here from the Sac Bee article,

"Two weeks before the voluntary shutdown this year of Courage House, a licensed group home for young sex-trafficking victims near Sacramento, a ritual was performed on a teenage girl."

"According to findings in a state investigation, the girl’s forehead was anointed with oil, a religious verse was recited, and the teen was told she would have to be a Christian, or at least denounce Satan, to continue living in the home. Crosses then were handed out to the other girls to wear."

First of all, anointing a person's forehead with oil is not a ritual. It is a prayer for protection. If a Roman Catholic priest held a mass for the young girl and read from the Rite, then it would have been a ritual.

What is going on here is basic deliverance prayer. Not a ritual. We are not told either if the girl in this situation, accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior, on her own. The tone of the author appears to be anti-Christian, with deliberate removal of key facts from this story. What the reporter is unaware of in cases like this are multiple identities involved with a ritual abuse survivor. The person in question, who is clearly a survivor, has 100s to 1000s of identities, from their horrific past in ritual abuse. What happens during prayer, there is a person we call the primary presenter, who is the person who lives out most of the daily life of the shattered individual. The article did not state whether the person referenced had a primary presenter we call a Christian Host. This is the primary identity who on their own volition, accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Because the survivor is aware of the deep struggle with darkness going on inside them, they are fully aware of the heavenly battle we are all born into.  It's not uncommon for the Christian Host to request deliverance prayer to shut down the diabolic voices that are attacking them.  They are capable of sorting out the demonic voices from their own internal identity voices. Because of the ritual abuse identities, a person will switch out and into what we call an occult loyal part, will surface. Occult loyal means that it's an identity that is still bound to the demonic and the occult. It will summon powers from the occult and use it against the people praying. In this case, the people praying with the survivor will experience something like immediate and intense severe migraines. Or some weird form of discomfort. This identity will be triggered to stop the Christian Host from receiving prayer. That was a lot of information unpacked from just two simple paragraphs in the article.

During the deliverance prayer, one of the occult identities was triggered and switched in. A switch is a swap in consciousness, where a different identity is now consciously present and in charge of the decision making. When an occult loyal identity is triggered, they want nothing to do with Jesus. Let alone accept Him as their Lord and Savior. A deliverance prayer session would have tried to get this part to renounce Satan and accept Jesus.  This doesn't work!!! The problem here is that deliverance is popular in church today, but very few understand what they are doing in it. We are living in darker days with a rise in occult activity. Basic deliverance ministers are essentially canon fodder to high-level occult practices. Not because God isn't strong enough, it is because the deliverance ministers are doing it WRONG!!!! The high-level occult is not fought with low-level demonic deliverance ministry.

The moment a safe home like this suspects they have an occult survivor, they need to get a hold of a ministry counseling team that understands dissociative identity disorder and ritual abuse. A survivor of severe trauma requires a magnitude of years for inner healing from their occult ties and trauma. In the Potter's Hands (San Francisco Bay Area), CARE (Michigan), and Restoration in Christ Ministries (Virginia). Charismatics will attempt to take the survivor to a healing session for prayer. This doesn't work. And there is a long story why. Not for here.

Let's move on with the article, it's a treasure trove of misinformation.

“There was never any pressure given, or ultimatums discussed with her,” wrote former program director Melissa Herrmann and clinical director Angela Chanter, who participated in the episode. “She was told she could not perform human and animal sacrifices, or drink the blood of any person there, but she was never told she could not worship Satan nor was she told she had to become a Christian.”

"The clash underscores the tension that can arise between faith-based service providers and government officials – each held accountable for the health and safety of vulnerable clients."

Here's where the social services are completely oblivious to the living hell an occult survivor is going through. Satanism is not the faith of choice of a survivor. They are fleeing from Satanism. The 1000s of identities inside feel they need to sacrifice or do something satanic, otherwise, another internally programmed part will cause them to relive a horrific pain or a rape. These are memories of rape from their own family members in these rituals. Thousands of identities were created in this person solely for the purpose of participating in dark rituals. They are mind control, programmed slaves!

Helping the woman in question here build up her faith in Christ is a matter of self-defense. Ritually abused survivors also have parts programmed to end their lives if they don't return to the coven. These souls are fractured and are programmed to be robots in satanic rituals. This is not a faith tension going on between choosing Christianity and Satanism, it is an internal living hell struggle with the soul that is fractured. Furthermore, regarding allowing the identity to practice Satanism, we don't let the occult parts to practice their craft because they summon more demonic spirits. As a side note here, if there is no Christian host present, you need to patiently work with the individual to build one up inside. If they have no interest whatsoever in being saved, you can't deliverance them into being saved. Sorry! That doesn't work. You can love the individual and work with them to make life choices about living in your safe house. If they don't abide, then it's their choice. Relocate them to another place where they feel they will get help. You must understand where they are at in their desire for help and healing. If they don't want help, then they are adults and they haven't arrived at the conclusion that they want to be healed. This is where over zealous Christians get the rest of us in trouble. Always respect free will. Jesus does!

The problem is, it's near impossible to build a faith-based home to house these survivors. From a government or state funded perspective - you are dealing with the supernatural! It takes a specially trained team of counselors, spiritual directors, and life coaches, to successfully restore these shattered souls. I know my team is looking for such a home in the bay area for our own healing efforts so we can rescue women in this seemingly hopeless nightmare. If you are in the Sacramento area, I say donate to the Courage House and help them out. In fact churches in that area should be surrounding them and blessing them financially. That is a house of deep inner healing! The ritual abuse survivors are trafficked children the church doesn't care to deal with. The church is into rescuing children, but it takes more to rescue a child than to merely get them into a safe house. The years of trauma and hell from their nightmare needs to be healed. The church likes the social media aspect of rescuing the trafficked. But they don't want to get their hands dirty in the very long healing process. Sad but true. I personally work full time at a day job and minister in the evenings. We receive donations from people who understand the battle we and the survivors are in. In our ministry it's a day to day struggle helping these amazing Christian souls regain they're wholeness. But they're doing it.

It's a whole different and deeper level of spiritual warfare. This is a level of darkness beyond the basic believer's comprehension. I once had a pastor tell me to stop scaring the people in the church with my testimonies about ritual abuse. The church needs its own re-awakening on the darkness we are now in with spiritual warfare. Any ritual abuse survivor that is rescued and brought into a home it becomes a spiritual war zone. It is not unlikely, from my experience, that the occupants of the Courage Home also saw the spirits that were summoned. So as you put the pieces together it's not so crazy what the Courage House tried to do, they just didn't have the right tools to fight the unseen darkness. I am pretty sure the Courage House did what they did because in this battle - they were alone!

Well, that's enough for now. Hope this was beneficial.
Blessings
