Tales of Glory returns to The Field Guide of Advanced Spiritual Warfare book, we're in chapter 5, Spiritual Authority in Christ! What is spiritual authority? Why does Jesus Christ have preeminence over all gods? What are the lower case 'gods'? In this episode, I bring the Tales of Glory listeners up to date where I am at with researching spiritual warfare, especially, as it pertains to the topic of spiritual authority in Jesus Christ. We're always growing in this ministry. There is so much to learn and so many ways to grow in Jesus Christ and His marvelous creation. 

Lots of good updates in this chapter. Should make it interesting for those of you who are following along in the book, or already read the book, or took a spiritual warfare class from me in the past. Lots of exciting material, packed into a whopping hour and a half (my apologies to Wendy for making a long show this go around!). But it's some good stuff and brings you up to speed on where I am at in this particular subject since I wrote the book in 2017 (way back during the pre-pandemic days).

Tales of Glory dives into Santa Teresa of Avila's Fifth Mansions Chapter 02. 

In chapter 02, Saint Teresa explains to us her classical metaphor of ascetical and mystical prayer life - the silk worm and the butterfly. Here she explains how the silk worm is like a soul in the First through Third mansions, developing from a beginning to advance prayer interior life. As the soul prays, like the worm feeding on the mulberries, the soul begins to go deeper (cocoon) in Jesus Christ. Where it makes its home before emerging later as a butterfly (a soul in the mystical states of prayer life).

TOG-Fireside Chat - Module III Mark 9:29 Ministry - Ep 25

 

The last weekend of January 2021, I had the amazing opportunity to fly out to Texas and equip the saints in spiritual warfare at the OpenDoor church. Wonderful church, with an amazing congregation. The class had over 200 saints in attendance. Again an amazing time out there, thank you Tim and Cindy McGill, and Pastor Otis, and SOKE, for having me come out there. 

In the class I covered four major topics as a primer for spiritual warfare ministers, topic 3, or module III, Mark 9:29 Ministry - Battles in the Occult and Exorcism, I gleaned over quickly to focus on the more pertinent module IV, on Dissociation. So I didn't feel I gave module III the proper time and justice. But when you're trying to obedient and respect the time given to you, you adapt accordingly. But I felt afterwards, I wanted to provide the material to the students. Here is module III, from the class. To the Open Door church, thank you for your hospitality. TOG - Fireside Chat - Is Christian Ghost Hunting a Sin? Ep 22

Special Tales of Glory Fireside chat edition, a demonologist released a video on his Facebook account, asking if Christian ghost hunting was a sin. He invited responses and comments. The content was so unbiblical and full of holes I felt a response was necessary. What does the Bible say about Christians who ghost hunt (spiritism)? I provide the scripture and fill in the blanks where the demonologist provided a very vague and unbiblical argument. 

So kick back in your easy chair, stoke the fire in the fireplace and grab you cocoa. It's time for a fireside chat on how ghost hunting is a sin!

Deuteronomy 18:9-11

Abominable Practices

9 “When you come into the land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominable practices of those nations. 

10 There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer 

11 or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, 

He doesn't read verse 12, nor does he read the rest of the Law on abominable practices, and these are:

Deuteronomy 18:12-14

12 for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord. And because of these abominations the Lord your God is driving them out before you. 

13 You shall be blameless before the Lord your God, 

14 for these nations, which you are about to dispossess, listen to fortune-tellers and to diviners. But as for you, the Lord your God has not allowed you to do this.

Deuteronomy 18:9-14 consulting the dead in any way is an abomination to God!

Leviticus 20:6-9 seeking mediums, God will cut you off!

1 Chronicles 10:13-14 Saul's transgression against God was communicating with the dead.

Matthew 7:21-23 Jesus - I never knew you!
